Kanjivaram sarees are handwoven in the temple town of Kanchipuram, Tamil Nadu, from pure mulberry silk sourced in South India and gold or silver zari from Gujarat. The two-thread woven border — interlocked with the body rather than stitched — is what distinguishes a genuine Kanjivaram from every imitation. It cannot be separated without the saree unravelling. That is the standard Zari Banaras holds its collection to.

Our Kanjivaram collection spans the full register of this weave. The Royal Princess series brings classic gold zari borders in ivory, wine, green and pink — the most traditional expression of the Kanjivaram, made for muhurtham and wedding mornings. The Dual Tone series explores the shimmer effect created when two contrasting silk colours are woven on the same warp — the fabric shifts between tones as the drape moves, making it one of the most photographed Kanjivaram styles. The Luxe tier carries our most technically ambitious pieces: Vantara and Vanya in Shikargah hunting-motif weave, Kanakam in Kadhwa technique, Peacock’s Twilight and Prakriti in Leheriya wave patterns, and Devica and Chaitra in diamond twill.

Prices run from ₹6,299 for festive-weight Kanjivaram silks to ₹18,599 for the most intricately woven heritage pieces. Every saree comes with a blouse piece. Free shipping across India.
